The Boston Celtics are coming off a blowout loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 2 of the playoffs.
The Celtics were expected to win this game with ease, so it was a bit surprising to fans and analysts to see them get blown out.
Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley came out of the gates hot, and as a result, it was difficult for the Celtics to gain any traction or momentum.
The crew at “Get Up” on ESPN discussed what went wrong for the Celtics in this game, and Zach Lowe provided a criticism of one of their top players.
“Derrick White’s been the best player on the Boston Celtics in the playoffs, and at some point, that’s gonna have to become Jayson Tatum if they’re going to get where they want to go,” Lowe said.

White is certainly a good role player for this team, but Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are supposed to be the two stars of this team.
If they’re getting more positive play out of White rather than Tatum or Brown, Lowe believes the Celtics could fall in the series if they’re not careful.
The Celtics were said to be NBA Finals favorites coming into the playoffs, and a big reason for that was the play of their top two players.
It will be interesting to see if Tatum is able to respond to the criticism in Game 3, putting together another monster performance that fans have grown accustomed to.
Otherwise, not only will the criticism continue, but the Celtics could be in serious danger of losing a series they were expected to win.
