The Atlanta Falcons aren’t a team in the NFL that is expected to do much of anything during the 2023 season, with the struggling franchise in the midst of a rebuilding phase while also trying to find a new franchise quarterback in the post-Matt Ryan era.
Even though the Falcons likely won’t be winning a lot of games during the 2023 campaign, Atlanta could be one of the more entertaining football teams in the same way that the Chicago Bears were during the second half of last season, with mobile quarterback Justin Fields becoming must-see TV.
During the 2023 NFL Draft, the Falcons made an interesting move to bring in running back Bijan Robinson with the No. 8 overall pick, which is a lot higher than many anticipated.
It appears the Falcons brass really liked what they saw in Robinson and were willing to risk a high first-round pick on the Texas Longhorns star, who recently got a comparison to Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson by the former NFL superstar himself.
That comparison was brought up once again by Brock Vereen, who believes that Robinson could be a very special player in the league, via NFL on CBS.

Obviously, being compared to a Hall of Famer right out of the gate before even taking a snap in the NFL comes with a tremendous amount of pressure, especially considering the fact that the Falcons offense will be run-heavy and reliant on the rookie being a star right away.
It’ll be interesting to see if Robinson can live up to expectations and make the Falcons an entertaining team to watch over the next few years.
