Analyst Defends Dak Prescott Against Constant Criticism

The Dallas Cowboys have gone to great lengths to put together a very competitive squad on both ends of the field.

Even though they didn’t seem interested in signing either Odell Beckham Jr. or DeAndre Hopkins, they did add a solid wideout in Brandin Cooks, and they also traded for Stephon Gilmore.

Then again, the quarterback position continues to be a major concern for the fans, as Dak Prescott has left a lot to be desired since coming back from that gruesome injury he suffered a couple of years ago.

However, NFL analyst Emmanuel Acho believes that criticism is not fair, and he made a big and rather simple point to prove that he’s one of the best quarterbacks in the NFC.

I hear all the Dak slander, but someone please answer this question for me.

Outside of Jalen Hurts, who you taking over Dak Prescott in the NFC? Exactly. #Cowboys pic.twitter.com/ogYGzDQ0lT

Acho asked his FS1 colleagues which NFC quarterback they would pick outside of Jalen Hurts to beat Dak Prescott.

He later listed NFC quarterbacks, listing Matthew Stafford and Kyler Murray as hurt.

Truth be told, it’s hard to make a case for Kirk Cousins, Desmond Ridder, or even a rookie like Bryce Young to be ahead of Prescott now.

But the shortage of talent at the QB position in the NFC doesn’t make Dak any better.

And even if the Cowboys make it out of the NFC, the AFC competition is simply brutal.

Following the same logic as Acho, then no team besides the Philadelphia Eagles could go against Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals, Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens, and Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
