Few players have more pressure upon them for the 2023 NFL season than Dak Prescott.

The Dallas Cowboys haven’t exactly lived up to fans’ expectations over the last few years, and Prescott has received his fair share of blame for the team’s struggles.

In a recent segment of Speak on FS1, James Jones highlighted this pressure on Prescott.

“It’s not like you’re on a bad team and Dak Prescott is a star,” Jones said, “Your team is built the right way.”

Jones believes that Prescott’s supporting cast is more than sufficient to find success in the NFL.

He noted that the Cowboys have a top-tier defense, and they have several All-Pro and Pro Bowl candidates on their roster.

If Prescott was able to play better last season, Jones believes that the Cowboys would have made a deeper playoff run.

After losing in the divisional round, however, the Cowboys are back to the drawing board.

As Jones points out, Prescott will turn 30 before the 2023 season starts.

While his prime time in the league isn’t necessarily running out, the Cowboys could grow impatient.

Regarding this situation, Jones said, “It is time to go.”

Every team in the league believes they have what it takes to win the Super Bowl when the season begins.

While this is a pipe dream for many of the bottom-tier teams, a team like the Cowboys could make a legitimate title run.

Can Prescott finally get the monkey off his back this season, leading the Cowboys on a deep postseason journey?
