The quarterback situation for the New York Jets is one to monitor as the team has publicly expressed confidence in Zach Wilson.
Wilson took over for Aaron Rodgers when the latter went down with an Achilles injury and managed to lead the Jets to an improbably overtime victory over the Buffalo Bills.
However, despite optimism that Wilson can manage the offense for the remainder of the season there are still expectations that New York will look for another option to supplement the quarterback room.
A veteran free agent would make sense as a depth option for the Jets, but they could also be aggressive and look for a replacement for Wilson should he struggle again.
With New York taking on the Dallas Cowboys this week, Wilson could get exposed trying to work his way back from a potential deficit and that would be enough reason to justify a move.
One potential name to look out for is Kirk Cousins and Jason McIntyre of The Volume makes a compelling case for the Jets to go after him.

The Minnesota Vikings have started the season 0-2 after losses to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles.
The track record of teams making the playoffs after starting a year with two losses isn’t great, so the Vikings could look to kickstart a rebuild by trading Cousins.
Although he may not be the flashiest name, Cousins can definitely elevate a team’s passing game and he would be a perfect fit for New York if they’re serious about competing this season.
