After the New York Jets traded for Aaron Rodgers, many believed this was a similar trajectory to Brett Favre.

Favre famously went to the Jets after a long career with the Green Bay Packers, similar to Rodgers.

However, in a segment of ‘Good Morning Football,’ Peter Schrager compared this move to Tom Brady’s departure from New England.

“The blueprint has been done three years ago, and Tampa was that blueprint,” Schrager said.

Schrager also called out the Los Angeles Rams, who traded for Matthew Stafford in 2021.

Similarly to the Buccaneers in 2020, they found instant success with a new quarterback at the helm.

Will the Jets’ trade yield a similar result?

Brady entered the Buccaneers with limited knowledge of his teammates, as Schrager pointed out.

The 2020 season was in the peak times of the pandemic, with all the regulations in place.

While Brady didn’t have much rapport with his teammates, Rodgers not only entered the Jets’ organization with relationships but he’s had time to gain more as well.

Schrager asked, “Has anyone looked more comfortable in a new home than Aaron Rodgers?”

The Jets surrounded Rodgers with familiar faces, including Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, and Nathaniel Hackett.

His path to success is much more narrow than other quarterbacks who have moved to new teams.

While Schrager was cautious about the situation, he drew a lot of comparisons between Rodgers and Brady.

The Jets have high hopes for the 2023 season.

Will these expectations meet reality, resulting in a successful season for Rodgers in his first year in the system?
