The San Francisco 49ers have the best team in the National Football League, and it may not even be close.
The front office has done an outstanding job of putting together a video-game-like squad, and the coaching staff also deserves a lot of credit for finding ways to get snaps for everyone and for the team to develop strong chemistry on and off the field.
Nonetheless, former NFL star Jeff Saturday believes it’s about time people start giving Brock Purdy his flowers.
Talking on ESPN’s “Get Up,” Saturday stated that whenever a QB makes his offense gel the way this offense has gelled this season, it only makes sense he ends up taking the MVP award home.

Purdy gets a lot of heat just for the fact that he has some elite players.
If he were putting up these numbers with a different team, or if he wasn’t the last pick of the NFL Draft or had played for a different college program, people wouldn’t even mind that.
We can all agree that he’s no Patrick Mahomes, but he’s played mistake-free football for the most part, and he’s been the only QB who’s been able to fully embrace and maximize Kyle Shanahan’s offensive system since he took the reins of the team.
At the end of the day, it’s all about winning football games, and the Niners have won more football games than anybody in the league this season except for the Baltimore Ravens, so why do people keep punishing Purdy for winning?
