The Philadelphia Eagles could have a prime reinforcement on the field when they host the San Francisco 49ers in a potential NFC Championship Game preview.

According to a report by James Palmer, veteran TE Dallas Goedert is pushing to be back on the field on Week 13.

It looks like #eagles TE Dallas Goedert (forearm) will push to play this weekend vs the #49ers. We’ll see if that’s possible as the week goes. It does seem very realistic for him to be on the field in two weeks vs the #cowboys I’m told.

Goedert originally suffered a forearm fracture in his team’s divisional win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9.

He had to go under the knife and has missed back-to-back games.

But with the Eagles having their Bye week in the midst of it, there wasn’t a need to put him on the Injured Reserve (IR) list, which allows him to be back without serving the mandatory four-game absence.

It also means that even if he winds up missing the clash with the Niners, he’s more than likely to be available for a Week 14 rematch with the Cowboys, this time in Texas.

Of course, it’ll all depend on whether Goedert is able to partake in practice this week, which could happen as early as Thursday.

Needless to say, this could be a big boost for the Eagles’ offense, not only for his pass-catching skills but also because of his physicality and ability to block.

The Niners have perhaps the best defensive line in the NFC, and while the Eagles also boast a historically great offensive line, they’ll need all hands on deck to retain their bragging rights over Kyle Shanahan’s team.

Winners of 10 of 11 games, the Eagles continue to look like the team to beat this season, and they could get even stronger now.
