The 2023 season was supposed to go differently for the New York Jets.
After acquiring Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers, the Jets were expected to be a playoff team for the first time in more than a decade.
However, his injury in the season opener did the team no favors, and they ended up having an inconsistent year at the quarterback position.
Rodgers has been gearing up to play since his injury, and there is a general sense that he’ll play for the Jets in Week 1 of the 2024 season.
With this in mind, and the fact that Rodgers has recently indicated that he has re-established his love for the game, Craig Carton, a noted Jets fan, is optimistic about the team’s chances next year.
“The New York Jets have just won the Super Bowl,” Carton said.

Carton believes that Rodgers’ presence will be a game-changer for the Jets moving forward.
When healthy, he has been one of the most dominant players in NFL history, which could bode well for the Jets.
The front office has made several moves to surround him with the best possible teammates, and with the draft coming up, the Jets have even more opportunities to grow the roster.
It will be interesting to see how well Rodgers plays coming off an Achilles injury and if he is able to lead the Jets to the playoffs.
They are in a severe drought as it pertains to postseason berths, but one season could change the entire trajectory of this team.
