Ever since Tom Brady left the New England Patriots, it’s all gone downhill for the once-feared and respected organization.
Some believe Bill Belichick got exposed without his superstar quarterback, and while that may not be fair, his record without Brady did leave a lot to be desired.
Whatever the case, the legendary coach is no longer there, and it’s now Jerod Mayo and Eliot Wolf leading the way.
Granted, they haven’t been able to make many big moves, and losing Matthew Judon was yet another tough blow to the organization, so it’s easy to understand why some fans might be frustrated with the current direction of the team.
Even so, Patriots analyst Mike Kadlick believes the fans will just have to be patient with this regime (via Patriots on CLNS Media).
“Patriots fans need to suck it up a little bit right now…They’re not going to fix this stuff in 8 months time,” Kadlick said.

Kadlick stated that things were complicated in Foxboro, so it’s not like they were going to be able to fix everything in just eight months.
Even if the Patriots haven’t been relevant in years now, this is actually the first time someone else not named Bill Belichick is calling the shots, and you cannot judge Mayo and Wolf for what the previous regime did or didn’t do.
At the end of the day, decision-makers knew all along that they weren’t going to compete for a Super Bowl right away, and they have no choice but to take things one step at a time to get back to the mountaintop.
