The NFL is a ruthless business.

Just two years ago, people raved about how DeAndre Hopkins was one of the best wide receivers in the game, but today he’s washed and cannot run anymore according to some analysts.

For whatever reason, someone has pushed that narrative within NFL circles, and he’s finding trouble gauging the interest he should’ve gotten as soon as he became a free agent.

That’s why NFL analyst Brian Baldinger broke down some film from his 2022 campaign to show just how good he still is, citing that there’s no team in the league that wouldn’t get better with him on the field.

“I don’t care what team out of the 31 teams (not Arizona) that would sign him, they’re all going to get better with him on the field” @BaldyNFL delivers one of his famous break downs on @DeAndreHopkins pic.twitter.com/SlI15gSg35

Truth be told, Hopkins has never been known for being a speedster or creating miles of separation.

But he’s always going to have the upper hand in 50/50 matchups thanks to his elite route-running and almost unprecedented security when it comes to holding on and grasping onto the football.

Hopkins has dropped four passes in his past three seasons, and there’s simply no reason to believe he couldn’t make a positive impact on an offense, even if it’s in a limited role.

The Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, and Cleveland Browns are reportedly still interested in his services despite all the chatter.

Still, it’s highly unlikely that he gets the kind of money he would’ve gotten with the Arizona Cardinals this season, especially if teams continue to push that narrative of him being washed and yesterday’s news already.

All he needs is one chance to prove them all wrong.
