Bill Belichick won’t coach any NFL team this season, but he’s still all over the news.

A recent report by ESPN revealed that his relationship with Robert Kraft was so bad that the New England Patriots owner actually reached out to Arthur Blank to warn him not to hire him.

Belichick interviewed twice with the Atlanta Falcons and was believed to be the frontrunner to get the job before they went with Raheem Morris instead.

Apparently, Kraft, who has a close relationship with Blank, told him not to trust Belichick, adding that he would never have a close or warm relationship with him and that he was quite arrogant.

However, Craig Carton doesn’t buy that story.

In the latest edition of The Carton Show, he stated that as much as he respects that level of vindictiveness, he just doesn’t see Robert Kraft going out of his way to make sure Belichick remained unemployed.

Then again, the reports about their relationship being very bad haven’t stopped for months now, and that dates back to when Belichick ran Tom Brady out of town.

At the end of the day, it’s safe to say that Belichick’s time in New England had clearly ran it’s course, so it was about time to put an end to that partnership.

Whether Kraft took things so personally to try and block him from getting another job, however, is anybody’s guess.
