Several weeks ago, many people thought that Bronny James wouldn’t make much of an impact during next month’s NBA Draft.

But after one eventful and exciting week, he is now being talked about by many people.

ESPN’s Jonathan Givony took a look at James’ standing among other prospects and predicted that he had worked his way up from number 98 to number 54 overall.

What caused such a massive shift for James?

His work at the combine cannot be understated and it’s opened the door for him to climb up in the draft.

It all started earlier this week when James had a majorly impressive first day at the combine.

First, James recorded a 40.5-inch vertical jump, which ranked fourth among all participants.

After that, he shot 19-of-25 in the three-point drill, making him second-best among everyone.

He also impressed in other drills, including those related to his speed and defensive skills.

Plus, it’s clear that James has been in the gym and has added some heft and strength to his build.

Taken together, this all made him much more attractive to several teams.

Most people assumed that the Los Angeles Lakers would be one of the only teams intrigued by the prospect of drafting James, partly to satisfy his father.

But after his time at the combine, there could be other franchises trying to acquire him.

He was nearly outside of the top 100 draft picks only a week ago and now he has climbed much higher.

Can he improve his chances even more before the draft next month?
