The Detroit Lions finished the 2022 season strong, missing the playoffs by just one game.

By many accounts, the Lions established themselves as a feel-good story, especially given their years of mediocrity.

Heading into the 2023 season, many analysts and fans have given the Lions a great chance to win their division, something the organization has never accomplished.

The Lions’ offense was one of the league’s best last year, and they have only gotten better throughout the offseason.

One of their most valued new pieces is Jahmyr Gibbs, who has consistently been praised.

In a recent segment of Good Morning Football, Peter Schrager said, “Gibbs is my guy.”

“Multi-phase. Elite. Positionless. Weapon.”

Every year, @PSchrags has a player he is leading the hype train on

Among other descriptors, Schrager characterized Gibbs as “Positionless” and “Elite.”

Gibbs was a three-year starter in college, playing his final season for the University of Alabama.

In his final year, Gibbs racked up 926 rushing yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 6.1 yards per carry.

He also had 44 receptions, which added 444 yards and three touchdowns to his season total.

A back with great hands is a fantastic asset to any NFL roster.

He proved to be a great pass-catcher in college and will look to provide a similar impact in the NFL.

Jared Goff was among the league leaders in passing yards in 2022 and is slated to have similar numbers this season.

D’Andre Swift was the 10th most targeted back last season.

If Gibbs is given a similar workload, he could have a high ceiling for his rookie campaign.

Schrager and many others are very high on the Lions this season.

Can Gibbs help take this offense to the next level?
