Jayson Tatum is clearly one of the best basketball players in the league and could win his first MVP trophy within the next few years.
And even though he’s been great for several seasons, he’s been getting better in certain parts of his game.
“I think you could comfortably say that he’s in his prime,” Jason Timpf said about Tatum, according to a video shared by The Volume.
Chris Mannix dug deeper into Tatum’s numbers and revealed just how he is improving.
“You see strides that Tatum is making every single year. You look at this year, he’s shooting something like 74% at the rim. That’s a great number,” Mannix said.
“His mid-range game I believe is still right around 50%,” he added.
Through his hard work and the dedication of his trainers, Mannix said that Tatum has grown into his “man strength” and is using his body in powerful and impactful ways.

Tatum has always been a strong shooter but his versatility has improved over the last couple of seasons.
As noted by Mannix, he is much better with his mid-range shot and is able to work his way down into the paint and score in the post too.
He is more aggressive and physical in a number of ways.
That is no mistake and it’s because his team of trainers have worked with Tatum to focus on his weaknesses and eliminate them.
Tatum has been criticized by some in the past for certain aspects of his development.
He has taken notes from those detractors and worked tirelessly to get better.
The changes have been subtle but they are all adding up.
Tatum’s three-point percentage has never been lower while his overall field goal percentage is at a career-high.
This is a sign that he has tweaked the way he plays and it’s paying off well.
