The Chicago Bears have never put Justin Fields in a position to succeed.
The Ohio State product showed glimpses of great play in his second year in the league, but Matt Eberflus and his coaching staff went away from everything that worked for him from there.
Of course, there are still some concerns and questions about his durability, and perhaps his ceiling wasn’t as high as some scouts initially thought it was.
But with his youth and dual-threat skill set, the Bears should still get plenty of interest in his services in the offseason, assuming they intend to draft a quarterback as most people predict.
With that in mind, former NFL QB Chase Daniel and Robert Mays debated the possible teams that could be interested in making a run at Fields.
Is Justin Fields gets moved this offseason, which teams should take that call? @ChaseDaniel and I talked about Fields’ future, what’s next for the Chargers, Tommy Cutlets, and more on this week’s “In the Pocket.”

Unsurprisingly, Mays pointed out the Atlanta Falcons as the most logical destination, adding the Washington Commanders and Las Vegas Raiders as other potential options.
Then, he made an interesting choice by naming the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Steelers may have had Kenny Pickett’s back, but even though they haven’t done much to help him thrive, some analysts believe they’ve seen enough to realize he’s not a franchise-caliber quarterback at this point, maybe ever.
Fields does have a higher upside than Pickett.
He’s not a traditional quarterback like the ones that have donned the Black and Gold jersey throughout the course of history, but his dual-threat skill set could be enticing with that supporting cast.
Whatever the case, Fields will definitely have another chance to prove his worth, just not in the Windy City.
