While some might argue that today’s NBA is inflated by the lack of defense and how rules favor scoring, it’s a fact that we have never had this many superstars at the same time.
More often than not, there was a clear-cut No. 1 best player in the world, and that’s not the case anymore.
Stephen Curry was the last player to be considered the best on Earth for multiple years straight, and it now seems like people change their minds every two weeks, which happens in this media-driven era with so much talent.
That’s why it’s not much of a surprise to see that Nikola Jokic’s rein is no more, with Luka Doncic taking his place.
At least, that’s how NBA analyst Alan Hahn feels right now.
Talking on ESPN’s “Get Up,” he argued that Doncic, not Jokic, was the best player in the league, mainly because he’s still playing and Jokic isn’t.

Truth be told, one could make a case for both of these players, and that’s even before the start of the playoffs.
At the end of the day, it’ll all depend on who you ask and when you ask him.
Doncic is the best player still in contention for a championship, but whether he’s a better player than Jokic or not is up for debate.
Whatever the case, being No. 1 or No. 2 in the league with the most talent in the basketball scene shouldn’t make much of a difference, but you know competitors like Luka are always aiming for the throne.
