The Dallas Cowboys have just hired Mike Zimmer to be their next defensive coordinator.
That’s a very solid hire for a team that desperately craved someone with experience after losing Dan Quinn to the Washington Commanders’ head coaching job.
Nonetheless, as much as Jerry Jones made the right call, NFL analyst Craig Carton believes it won’t last for long.
Talking on “The Carton Show,” Carton stated that this was a bad hire, and he predicted that Jones would sell the team within the next two years.

Truth be told, that is tough for some fans to believe.
Jones isn’t talking like the kind of guy who wants to give up control or get rid of his team any time soon.
He continues to handle himself as the only authority on the organization, and he’s so used to being in the spotlight and making all the calls.
What Jones could do instead is hire someone to run football operations and serve as an actual general manager.
It’s been almost three decades since the Cowboys last made it to the Super Bowl, and it’s become painfully evident to many that Jones isn’t the guy they need to get them over the hump.
Despite all the winning seasons, any other decision-maker in the league would’ve been fired years ago, but he happens to own the team.
