The Los Angeles Lakers have been out of the playoffs for just a few hours but there have already been many rumors about them.
Several reports say the team is willing to rework a lot before the 2024–25 season.
One of the rumors states that the Lakers are open to the possibility of selecting Bronny James in the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft so he can play alongside his dad, LeBron.
Speaking on “The Carton Show,” Craig Carton made a tough, painful statement about Bronny.
“Bronny James is a lousy basketball player,” Carton said.

Carton and his crew of co-hosts seem to agree that James isn’t the sort of talent that the Lakers need.
But that doesn’t mean they won’t move heaven and earth to get him.
In his first season with USC, James averaged just 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, shooting 36.6% from the field and only 26.7% from the three-point line.
Those aren’t stunning numbers but James is still receiving a lot of attention from the Lakers, reportedly because it would make his dad happy.
The situation with LeBron is tricky: the Lakers are eager to sign him to one more extension, presumably his last, and getting his son on the team might entice him.
If the Lakers do sign Bronny, there will be many critics saying he didn’t earn his spot.
At the same time, others believe that his talents will only mature in the NBA and some think he’s ready for professional basketball despite his lackluster season in college.
No matter what Carton and others think, it is becoming increasingly likely that Bronny will play for the Lakers next season.
