The University of Alabama has a rich history as a breeding ground for the NFL.

They tend to send several representatives to the league each year which typically yields positive results.

Alabama has historically been a great school for offensive linemen, defenders, and wide receivers but less of a quarterback-heavy school.

In a recent segment of ‘Get Up’ on ESPN, Damien Woody spoke highly about Bryce Young and what he brings to the Carolina Panthers.

“Bryce Young is the most advanced of all the guys that have come out of that Alabama Program,” Woody declared.

In the last 10 years, Alabama has produced a mixed bag of quarterbacks.

Mac Jones was highly touted but hasn’t yet produced at the level that many expected him to.

Tua Tagovailoa has found some success in the league, but his injuries have been a cause of concern.

Jalen Hurts was recently given a max contract and is the most successful of these three thus far.

Woody believes that Young is NFL-ready, and will be primed to contribute in a big way in his first season.

The Panthers have made significant moves during the offseason in efforts to make Young’s first season successful.

They’ve invested in veteran receivers, running backs, and tight ends.

Their faith and investment in the offense paired with Young’s quick development is a great recipe for success in Woody’s mind.

The only thing left for Young is the execution.

With less than a month to go until the regular season, Panthers fans don’t have to wait long to see Young in action.
