The Baltimore Ravens made some major moves this offseason.
Replacing Greg Roman with Todd Monken as their offensive coordinator, signing Odell Beckham Jr., drafting Zay Flowers, and making Lamar Jackson the highest-paid player in football should pay off big time this season.
As a matter of fact, NFL analyst Marcus Spears declared on “First Take” that Jackson is set to have his best season yet, which is a lot to say, considering he already has an MVP under his belt.

Per Spears, Jackson has spent most of his career in a condensed space, but he’ll now get to play on a spread-out field, so that will allow him to finally get the respect he deserves as a passer.
Moreover, that means rival defenses won’t know how to defend him anymore, as Monken’s offense will look different from every offense Jackson has been a part of since he first entered the league.
Spears also raved about the fact that — just like in college with the Georgia Bulldogs — Monken will have an elite pass-catching tight end like Mark Andrews to build his offense around.
Truth be told, there’s no more room for excuses or shortcomings in Baltimore anymore, especially not from Jackson’s side.
He’s been given everything he needed — and more — to take another leap forward in his development and finally get his team over the hump.
Of course, the big question will once again be whether he’s going to be able to stay on the field, as he’s failed to finish both of the last two seasons with multiple injuries and ailments.
