Many people are still trying to wrap their heads around Aaron Rodgers playing for the New York Jets.
He spent the last 18 seasons in Green Bay before being traded this offseason.
The Jets have been looking for a star quarterback for a long time.
They have not had a Pro Bowl quarterback since Brett Favre in 2008.
Now Rodgers is hoping to follow in his footsteps once again.
Many Jets fans are expecting great things from Rodgers.
Craig Carton even believes that Rodgers is the “greatest player the Jets have ever had.”

That is certainly a bold take since Rodgers has yet to play a game for his new team.
Looking at his resume, he has won everything an NFL player can hope for.
But not doing any of that with the Jets makes it hard to say he is the best Jet ever.
Yet, those are the expectations Rodgers is entering the season with.
Anything short of an MVP-caliber season with the Jets going to the playoffs would be a disappointment.
Rodgers is 39 years old, yet Jets fans are expecting him to be one of the best players in the league.
He is coming off a tough season in Green Bay where he threw for 3,695 and 26 touchdowns with 12 interceptions.
Rodgers does seem to be refreshed after joining his new team.
But, that does not mean he will return to an MVP level.
The Jets have not made the playoffs since 2010.
If Rodgers cannot lead them there, fans in New York might not be so kind.
