For years, the Dallas Cowboys have been known as “America’s Team.”

Jerry Jones has built one of the most recognizable sports brands across the entire world, which has led to international acclaim for the Cowboys.

While they might technically hold that title, another team is coming for that role, at least, according to Craig Carton.

Carton recently talked about another organization as an increasingly popular team, saying, “The New York Jets resonate with America.”

“The New York Jets, other than the Super Bowl, have the three most-watched television events of the year. The New York Jets resonate with America.”

The Jets have been a bottom-feeder for several years.

While they have come close at times, they haven’t appeared in the playoffs in 12 seasons.

This Cinderella-type story has captivated football fans across the country, especially given the offseason pageantry and news coverage the Jets received.

Aaron Rodgers was supposed to be the savior for this team, helping them get back on their feet and make the playoffs.

Even though he has been injured since the first quarter of Week 1, Zach Wilson has led the Jets to a 3-3 record.

They have a significant hill to climb for relevance in the AFC, but as Carton pointed out, they continue to be one of the best stories across the league.

The Jets “have the three most-watched television events of the year,” Carton said, taking out the Super Bowl from this consideration.

Granted, one of those games was against the Kansas City Chiefs amid the Taylor Swift saga, but the Jets were still a part of the contest.

Can the nation rallying around the Jets help propel them to a franchise-altering playoff berth?
