After a poor start to this NBA season, the Golden State Warriors have been perking up lately.
They have won 10 of their last 13 games, which has put them in 10th place in the Western Conference with a 29-27 record.
But while some people feel they could become a dark-horse team come playoff time, many also don’t feel they will be that much of a threat by then.
Jorge Sedano, per 95.7 The Game, said “they’re just not good enough” to contend for another NBA championship.
“They’re just not good enough. They’re good, but they’re not good enough…I don’t think they’re championship good.”

The Warriors won it all less than two calendar years ago, and at the time, it looked like they could perhaps win one more ring, as they had promising young players while their old guard of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green were looking spry.
But Thompson clearly isn’t the star he used to be before his ACL and Achilles injuries a few years ago, which has left them without a clear-cut second star alongside Curry.
Andrew Wiggins, who was an All-Star starter in the 2021-22 season, has been shooting better during their current spurt, and 2021 lottery pick Jonathan Kuminga is starting to tap into his potential, but it just isn’t enough.
The West is more competitive from top to bottom than it was a year or two ago, and Golden State will need to defeat several very good and talented teams to return to the NBA Finals.
Right now, they will, in all likelihood, have to first win the play-in tournament just to reach the playoffs, and that in itself won’t be easy, especially if they need to win two games there as the ninth or 10th seed.
