The New York Jets made a big gamble when they traded for Aaron Rodgers.
Character issues aside, football is a physical sport, and Rodgers isn’t getting any younger.
As a matter of fact, he admittedly claimed that he contemplated retirement in the offseason, and while it could’ve been just a power play to gain some leverage in his desire to be traded, the truth is that the end could be near for the former MVP.
However, NFL analyst Ryan Clark believes we haven’t seen the end of Rodgers yet, and he stated on Get Up that the likelihood of Rodgers playing back to his MVP level is actually extremely high.

Rodgers has been one of the best quarterbacks in the league for well over a decade, and he was the Most Valuable Player just two seasons ago.
Even though the Jets’ offensive line isn’t exactly elite, he has more than enough weapons to put up monster numbers next season, as well as an outstanding defense that will make sure to force turnovers and put him in a position to succeed and take more risks.
He’s perhaps the single most talented thrower this game has ever seen, and while he’s not the most mobile or fastest guy out there, he definitely knows how to stay on the field by avoiding big hits or getting rid of the football in a timely manner.
Aaron Rodgers may not be getting any younger, but we’ve seen veterans tearing this league up in the past.
