Heading into his first NBA season with the San Antonio Spurs, Victor Wembanyama was the most hyped player coming into the league since LeBron James in 2003 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Unfortunately for Wembanyama, the Spurs have struggled to rally around him in his first season in the NBA, with San Antonio currently in contention for being the worst team in the league this season.
The Spurs are currently sporting a record of 4-22 and look to be headed for a rough end to the 2023-24 NBA season unless they can figure out a way to turn things around immediately or make a blockbuster trade to surround their superstar rookie with more talent.
Even though the Spurs are one of the worst teams in the league this season, Wembanyama has shown flashes of his potential, as he fills up the stat sheet on a nightly basis for legendary head coach Gregg Popovich.
According to Dan Weiss of Bally Sports, if Wembanyama continues to grow physically while improving his skills, the sky is the limit for the 19-year-old international phenom, via “The Rally.”

It seems as though Wembanyama has only scratched the surface of what he can do on the basketball court, which is a scary thought for Spurs opponents over the next decade or two.
Wembanyama can do virtually anything on the basketball floor right now and will only continue to improve as long as he can stay healthy, with the Spurs making an effort to bring in more talent around him in the years to come.
