The Carolina Panthers are entering a new era of their program as they’ve got their new starting quarterback in place.

With the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Panthers took Bryce Young who was widely touted as the best quarterback prospect in his class.

Young has the pressure of being the new face of Carolina though he’s got the mentality and attitude to bear that weight.

When it comes to the 2023 season, Young and the Panthers aren’t expected to truly contend for a playoff spot though the year should be considered a success if the rookie and the rest of the roster grow and develop.

Carolina fans will obviously want to see progress over the course of the year, though there’s optimism that Young is the leader the franchise has been missing.

Because of his skillset, analysts like Antonio Cromartie believe that Young will have the best season for a rookie quarterback via The Carton Show.

“Bryce Young can make every single throw — the touch and the velocity he can put on the ball, and his football IQ is very high. I love the way he plays,” Cromartie said.

C.J. Stroud and Anthony Richardson are set to start for the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts, respectively, and while they’re certainly talented in their own right Young’s got all the makings of a star.

As Cromartie said, Young’s got a beautiful throwing motion and has a knack for placing the football right where it needs to be.

Carolina’s finally got a clear direction with Young under center and it’ll be exciting to see how he fares at the professional level.
