It’s no secret that the AFC is loaded with talent.

From the upper elite like the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals down to the up-and-coming Jacksonville Jaguars, there is a lot of talent across the conference.

While several teams have established themselves as early playoff candidates, Kyle Brandt recently revealed one of his favorite playoff picks for 2023.

In a segment of “Good Morning Football,” Brandt picked the Pittsburgh Steelers as one of his AFC playoff selections.

After a slow start to the 2022 season, the Steelers ended the year with four-straight victories.

This directly coincided with a rise in Kenny Pickett’s production, who was finishing out his rookie campaign.

As Brandt suggests, there are a few reasons to believe in the Steelers in 2023.

“I like what happens when teams start their season poorly and then rally in November and December,” Brandt said.

He believes that, as long as the Steelers keep that energy heading into this year, there’s no reason why they won’t make the playoffs.

Pickett is the team’s starting quarterback, the team’s first attempt at a franchise QB since Ben Roethlisberger’s retirement.

The team’s success is largely dependent on Pickett’s development.

While this might seem intimidating to many Steelers fans, the organization has doubled down on its belief in Pickett.

They have continued to invest in talent around him, and the offense is poised to work well together for years to come.

Will Brandt’s prediction come to fruition, resulting in a playoff berth for this team on the mend?
