The Minnesota Vikings entered the offseason with a tough decision to make at quarterback.

They had to weigh the pros and cons of keeping Kirk Cousins around, and while he was mostly well-liked within the locker room and fanbase, he ultimately decided to leave the team and join the Atlanta Falcons.

While losing Cousins wasn’t easy, the Vikings have made a few offseason moves to help bolster their roster, hopefully putting themselves in the best possible position to get better at quarterback.

Several fans and analysts believe the Vikings are going to package their two first-round picks to move up for a quarterback, but Adam Rank recently appeared on the NFL Network, where he presented an alternate viewpoint.

“I don’t think it’s a bad idea for them to stick there,” Rank said, discussing how J.J. McCarthy and Laiatu Latu could both be good fits for the organization.

Despite all of the recent buzz surrounding J.J. McCarthy, Rank thinks he could fall into the Vikings’ lap, a pairing that he believes would be good for all parties involved.

Latu is a highly regarded defensive lineman, and if the Vikings do pair him with McCarthy, this could end up being a lucrative draft for them.

It will be interesting to see who the Vikings move forward with at QB, and how that player will grow and adapt in this Kevin O’Connell-led system.

The Vikings still have Justin Jefferson on the roster, who gives any quarterback an opportunity to succeed and make big-time throws and plays.
