Craig Carton made a statement on Monday morning that will surely upset Los Angeles Lakers fans.
On the latest episode of “The Carton Show,” Carton said: “Anthony Davis is the most overrated superstar in the history of the NBA.”
Carton’s statement came hours after Davis suffered an apparent back injury during the team’s huge win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday.

Carton said that Davis is unreliable and always hurt, whether it be because of his back, knees, face, or some other part of his body.
His co-hosts mostly agreed with him, stating they thought he had turned a corner and was healthier and more stable, but Sunday’s game changed their opinions.
To Davis’ credit, he played in 76 games this season, his most since 2017-18.
He has been very healthy for the vast majority of the year but the team relies on him so much that any absence hurts.
They were able to get by without Davis for much of the game on Sunday, beating the Pelicans, 124-108, and earning the eighth seed in the West.
Following the game, Davis vowed that he would be back for the team’s Play-In game on Tuesday.
Davis has heard complaints like this one for all of his career and has surely tuned them out, only focusing on his game and staying as healthy as possible.
No matter what Carton or others say, Davis is going to remain dedicated to his team.
