The NBA playoff picture is mostly set.
We still have to get past the Play-In Tournament, but we can already make some predictions about what may or may not happen.
For starters, the Eastern Conference Play-In will feature the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers facing off for the No. 7 seed.
And while one of them will have to go against the Chicago Bulls or Atlanta Hawks for the No. 8 seed, the expectation is that whoever loses that No. 7 game will still make the playoffs.
With that in mind, most people assume that the Sixers are going to be in the postseason, whether it’s at No. 7 or No. 8.
That’s why ESPN analyst Andraya Carter believes Nick Nurse’s team is currently the biggest threat to the Boston Celtics.

Talking on Get Up, she argues that even if Joel Embiid isn’t 100% healthy, teams continue to play him as if he were.
Also, they have an elite one-two punch, with Tyrese Maxey also thriving.
She thinks that as great as Jalen Brunson has been, people are talking about how much pressure he’s under because he doesn’t have a legitimate No. 2, which the Sixers do have.
The Celtics have dominated the Sixers in the playoffs during Embiid’s tenure in the league, and the Knicks have been one of the hottest teams in the league for weeks now, so this could be a bit of a hot take.
Then again, they do have a much better coach now than in the past, and anything can happen in a seven-game series.
