The Denver Broncos are officially going to part ways with Russell Wilson as soon as the new league year begins.
The former Super Bowl champion will look to find his next team, hoping this will be the final stop of his Hall of Famer career.
Unfortunately for him, there aren’t that many teams currently in a position to go after a veteran quarterback, as most QB-needy teams will take care of business in the NFL Draft.
Considering that, NFL analyst Justin Melo of the NFL Draft Network pointed at the Minnesota Vikings as the best potential destination for him (via The Purple Persuasion).
According to @JustinM_NFL at @TheDraftNetwork, he has the #Vikings listed as a top 3 best landing spot for QB Russell Wilson.
“Kevin O’Connell is a brilliant offensive-minded coach who can maximize Wilson’s talents.”

Melo argued that Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell is a brilliant offensive mind who could make the most of Wilson’s skills.
That makes sense, and it’s not the only reason why the Vikings would be a logical fit for the former Seattle Seahawks star.
For starters, the Vikings don’t have a high pick in the first round, so they won’t be able to get any of the top-three QB prospects unless they trade up.
Wilson could be a nice stopgap while they develop their young talents or pursue someone else in the future.
Also, they’re likely to lose Kirk Cousins, who will reportedly get a very lucrative deal in free agency.
If that wasn’t enough, this also makes sense for the Vikings from a financial standpoint, as Wilson would be able to take a league minimum deal, allowing them to save up money for Justin Jefferson’s contract extension.
