Damian Lillard left the Portland Trail Blazers earlier this summer after staying loyal to the franchise for 11 seasons.
Lillard requested a trade from the Trail Blazers, and he was ultimately sent to the Milwaukee Bucks.
The 33-year-old superstar formed a dynamic duo with Giannis Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee and recently played his first official game for the team.
In a close matchup between the Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers, Lillard’s 39 points were the difference for his team.
Following his sensational debut for the Bucks, NBA analyst Rachel Nichols explained one big difference for Damian Lillard in Milwaukee, via “Undisputed” on Twitter.
“In Portland, he had to do everything and call out plays. Not here,” Nichols noted.

Apart from putting up 39 points, Lillard also had 8 rebounds and 4 assists in 39 minutes.
The 7x NBA All-Star now officially holds the record for scoring the most points in a debut for the Bucks.
Thanks to Lillard’s elite performance, the Bucks were able to register a 118-117 win over the 76ers.
They are now 1-0 for the season, and if Lillard can continue his sensational form, the Bucks will be one of the favorites to finish the season as the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.
While Lillard did have a memorable debut for the Bucks, it’s important to watch a couple more games of Lillard to truly analyze his move to the Bucks.
Considering Lillard is someone who is known for his scoring streaks in the NBA, it won’t be a surprise if he explodes for multiple high-scoring games before ultimately cooling down for a few.
