The Boston Celtics had a sensational offseason where they added the likes of Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday to form arguably the newest superteam in the NBA.
After all, they have five players in Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Kristaps Porzingis, Derrick White, and Jrue Holiday, who have the ability to take over the game during clutch moments.
While the sensational starting five of the Celtics have managed to finish the job in most of their games during the 2023-24 NBA season, the core failed to do so against the Denver Nuggets.
NBA analyst Kevin O’Connor pointed out a major concern for the Celtics against the Nuggets during the final minutes of the game via his official Twitter handle.
“Only 2 points in the final 4 minutes and 50 seconds for the Celtics. As ugly as it gets to end a game. Crunch time offense remains the leading concern for Boston in the playoffs.” O’Connor tweeted.

During the final four minutes and 50 seconds of the game, the Celtics scored just 2 points.
Considering the final score stood at 102-100 in favor of the Nuggets, the Celtics could have avoided losing the game if they had played like their usual selves during crunch time.
O’Connor also pointed out that poor offense in crunch time has remained a huge concern for the Celtics over the last few years in the playoffs.
So, even though the Celtics currently have a league-best 32-10 record this season, this will be a big concern in the playoffs.
After all, the Celtics need a reliable strategy to score points during the final minutes of the game if they want to lift the prestigious Larry O’Brien trophy for the first time since 2008.
Can the Celtics find a solution to this major flaw in their game? Only time will tell.
