Boston Celtics fans are all-in on Derrick White and they have every reason to be.
The guard was yet again wonderful on Monday night, scoring 18 points and 11 assists in a big Christmas win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
One of the Celtics’ most prominent fans, Bill Simmons, is blown away by White.
On Twitter, he noted many amazing things about the player.
Simmons said that White leads the NBA with a net rating of +14.5, is shooting 50/42/88% from the field, and has given the Celtics a 22-4 record when he plays.
Simmons also discovered that White is on pace for 100+ blocks, 100+ steals, and 200+ made threes this season, something that has never been done.
Derrick White
* Leads NBA in net rating (+14.5)
* Shooting: 50-42-88%
* On pace for 100+ blocks, 100+ steals + 200+ made 3s (never been done)
* Celts: 22-4 when he plays
* Got him for Langford, 1 expiring, late 2022 1st (Blake Wesley) + a top-1 protected 2028 swap — NOT BAD

To sum it all up, Simmons said that White has been a sensational player, especially for how little the team had to give up to sign him.
It has been a wild few years for the 29-year-old player.
He started his NBA career with the San Antonio Spurs but eventually made his way to the Celtics in the 2021-22 season.
Since then, he has averaged 12.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game.
This season has been his biggest yet, for several reasons.
The Celtics lost Marcus Smart in the summer and that immediately led to White becoming a permanent part of the team’s starting lineup.
That sort of pressure hasn’t bothered White, who is statistically having his best season yet.
He is considered one of the greatest two-way players in the game, able to score incredibly well but also block just about anyone he is playing against.
He is one of the biggest reasons why the Celtics now have the best record in the league.
While the squad is led by the duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, White is doing so much to keep them competitive on both ends of the court.
