The Boston Celtics just got Kristaps Porzingis back after more than a month on the shelf.
The talented big man has been a big factor in the NBA Finals thus far, especially in the first game of the series.
Nonetheless, some believe he’s at risk of missing more time, as he had to leave Game 2 with just under five minutes left to play after bumping his leg into PJ Washington.
Coach Joe Mazzulla shut down all speculation and claimed that he would most definitely play in Game 3, adding that he was just fine.
However, that’s not the information Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated has right now.
Talking on NBC Sports Boston, he revealed that Porzingis’ health was definitely something to monitor closely throughout the course of the game.

Porzingis has been quite injury-prone during his career, so this is hardly a surprise.
Then again, if anything, the Celtics have proven to be more than capable of winning without him.
Of course, that doesn’t mean he’s not important or a very good player, but they’ve learned how to get by just fine without him.
The Celtics travel to Dallas holding onto a 2-0 lead and looking to take care of business on the road, and while that will be easier said than done, they have more than enough depth to get it done.
