Over the weekend, after fighting his way back from a cardiac arrest he suffered on the practice floor during the summer, Bronny James officially made his college debut with the University of Southern California.

Bronny was able to defy the odds and get back on the basketball floor with the intention of helping turn the USC program around and make enough of a statement on the college level to be drafted by a team in the NBA.

Even though Bronny has a long way to go before even thinking about playing on the next level, there’s been a lot of talk about what superstar forward LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers will do when his son becomes draft-eligible.

On more than one occasion, LeBron has made it clear that one of his goals in the twilight of his basketball career is to play on the same team as one of his sons before he retires from the game.

With Bronny’s playing career back underway, ESPN’s Bobby Marks was asked whether he believes a team in the league will draft the Trojans star in order to lure LeBron to their team, via NBA on ESPN.

Marks doesn’t seem sold on the prospect of an NBA team using a high pick to bring in Bronny in order to land LeBron as well, but he does see a scenario where that happens later in the draft.

As Marks points out, Bronny is a late first-round pick or early second-round pick, so it depends on which teams are there and whether they are willing to take on everything that comes with the James family.
