Don’t look now, but the Cincinnati Bengals are suddenly on the move as they’ve won four consecutive games and put themselves right back in the playoff race.
The Bengals started off the 2023 NFL season looking like a shell of themselves offensively, though a lot of that has to do with Joe Burrow’s health.
Burrow suffered a calf injury during practice in the summer, and struggled to really get his footing for the first weeks of the season.
Cincinnati predictably had a hard time moving the football with Burrow hampered, but since the quarterback’s gotten back to full health they’re back to humming.
The Bengals came into the year considered to be a Super Bowl contender, and they’re finally making good on those expectations.
Burrow is playing as well as any quarterback in the league and Nate Burleson believes that this is the time of year when the signal caller is at his best via CBS.
“When the time is right, this guy plays his best football,” Burleson said.

Burrow has looked like the superstar quarterback fans are used to seeing in recent weeks as he’s got more confidence throwing the football and is even scrambling out of pressure.
Through the first few weeks, Burrow was limited to just sitting in the pocket and throwing underneath but now that his calf is healed he can plant his back foot and really get behind his throws.
Cincinnati appears to be peaking at the right time and if they can continue this streak then they should be one of the most dangerous teams come playoff time.
