Winning a Super Bowl is one of the toughest things any NFL team could even dream of, let alone winning one in consecutive seasons.

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have repeatedly addressed that subject, and while most people seem to believe they have what it takes to pull it off, that’s not the case with Craig Carton.

In the latest edition of “The Carton Show,” Carton took an in-depth look at the Chiefs roster, and he doesn’t think they’re better or more talented than they were last year.

Will the Chiefs repeat as Super Bowl Champions?

“There hasn’t been a repeat champion in 20 years, it ain’t easy…The Chiefs aren’t the same team talent-wise as last year.” — @craigcartonlive pic.twitter.com/LgOw3razj5

He notes how they lost depth on the offensive line, RB Isiah Pacheco and WR Kadarius Toney are banged up, and they didn’t make a big splash in free agency either.

Truth be told, the AFC is going to be as competitive as it’s always been, with the likes of the Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, Los Angeles Chargers, and even Jacksonville Jaguars looking to be legit threats to go the distance.

The Chiefs also lost their offensive coordinator, Eric Bieniemy, which could be another blow to their aspirations.

Then again, we’re talking about a team featuring the best quarterback and best tight end in the game, and arguably the best coach in today’s game as well.

No one said it would be easy, and it hasn’t been done since Tom Brady and the New England Patriots did it in 2003 and 2004.

But that doesn’t mean it cannot be done, and betting against Mahomes hasn’t paid off often.
