South Sudan almost embarrassed Team USA in a huge way this weekend when they nearly beat them during an exhibition game on the road to the Olympics.
Team USA won the match but it was still a very close call that has many people worried.
Speaking on FOX Sports Radio, Dan Beyer said this game might help the team.
He stated that the surprising performance from South Sudan has made the Americans “locked in” for the Olympics and ready to play much harder in the days and weeks ahead.
“That close game helps them…I think now you are locked in for the Olympics.”

Beyer also claimed that Team USA lacks chemistry and doesn’t perform like a very cohesive unit, at least not yet.
They have multiple big-name stars and a ton of skills but they aren’t achieving to the best of their abilities.
This near-loss to South Sudan might change all of that.
Head coach Steve Kerr expressed his disappointment following the game and said he needed to do more to get his team on the right path before the Olympics begin.
In his eyes, this game was a wake-up call and it’s time to ensure that nothing like this happens again.
The players will also look at their performances and see how they can be stronger together in order to win the gold medal in Paris.
No one was happy with how things went for Team USA but they know they can change things moving forward.
Competition will remain tough and will probably only get harder but Kerr and his players believe they have what it takes to overcome any competitor.
