Analyst Reveals The ‘Most Slept On Team’ In AFC

The AFC has already been deep the last two seasons, but it has gotten even deeper and more talented this offseason.

A year ago, the most hyped team in the conference was the New York Jets, who had traded for future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers and also brought in four-time Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook.

But Rodgers tore his Achilles on the Jets’ first offensive series of the series, and there went their season.

This time around, they’re a polarizing team, as some feel they have a shot at being very good, while many others aren’t believing in them.

Kay Adams of “Up & Adams” believes the Jets are the “most slept on team” in the conference.

It was just announced that the Jets will open up the 2024 regular season on Monday Night Football at the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers, which will be a tough test for them.

The 49ers have a somewhat revamped front seven on defense, which includes defensive end Leonard Floyd, who, as Adams pointed out, caused Rodgers’ Achilles injury last September.

New York’s offensive line, which was a bone of contention in 2023, may be somewhat improved thanks to the addition of eight-time Pro Bowl tackle Tyron Smith, and they still have a talented crew on defense.

Offensively, they have added wide receiver Mike Williams to provide some support for former Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson, while Breece Hall is a promising young running back.

The talent is there for the Jets to be very competitive, but it all depends on how well Rodgers plays at age 40 coming off an injury that often ends the career of an elite-level athlete.
