The Cleveland Cavaliers have officially made it to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
It wasn’t easy, and it wasn’t always pretty, but JB Bickerstaff managed to rally together the team and come back from a double-digit deficit to send the Orlando Magic back home.
Paolo Banchero was spectacular early in Game 7, and Donovan Mitchell was struggling with his shot.
Then, the former Utah Jazz star took matters into his own hands, forced contact, and made sure to get to the free-throw line to lead the way for his team.
That’s why NBA analyst Timothy Legler believes Mitchell has made a key adjustment to his game.
Talking to Rob Perez on SiriusXM NBA Radio, Legler argued that Mitchell has finally become a more physical and patient player.

He argues that he doesn’t settle for long and contested step-back jumpers anymore, which were a huge part of his game earlier in his career.
Instead, he’s using his body to get to his spots, being way more aggressive and patient.
Mitchell entered the league and instantly earned a reputation for being one of the best playoff performers in the game.
However, he has struggled mightily over the past couple of years, which is why some argued that his early success may have been nothing more than a fluke.
The Cavaliers were against the ropes in what could’ve been Mitchell’s final game as a member of the organization.
And while going against the Boston Celtics won’t be an easy challenge by any means, they do have some history together and match up better against them than the Magic.
