These games are going to get a lot of attention, for a number of reasons.
Lakers and Clippers fans have never been happy about sharing an arena.
It’s been an awkward arrangement, especially over the past several seasons as the Clippers have gotten better.
In many ways, they have been superior to the Lakers but have still been seen as their younger sibling.
Now they have a different arena, which will allow them to start a brand new chapter in their history and branch out on their own more.
This should be an interesting season for both the Clippers and Lakers.
The Clippers will try to formulate a plan and find success without Paul George while the Lakers will attempt to win without many offseason changes and an aging LeBron James, who is nearing retirement.
Even when they haven’t performed well, these two teams have always earned a lot of attention from NBA fans.
That will be no different this season.
They no longer share a home, but the Lakers and Clippers still have one of the biggest rivalries in the league.
