The New York Knicks are up 2-0 in the first round.

Tom Thibodeau’s team took care of business late in the game, and while the referees may have had something to do with that, they didn’t make or miss shots for the Knicks.

That’s why sports analyst Craig Carton believes the Philadelphia 76ers have nothing to complain about after the loss.

The Sixers filed a formal complaint, but Carton thinks they should take a look at the fact that they actually blew a five-point lead with 30 seconds left in the game.

Talking on The Carton Show, he recalled the final sequence in the game, pointing out how Kyle Lowry missed some free throws, Embiid missed a three-pointer, and the Knicks simply took care of business when it mattered the most.

“It’s your fault. You blew a 5-point lead in 30 seconds.”

Of course, this series is far from over.

The Sixers are a very good team, and they’re even better at home.

This series has been quite close, and that’s despite Joel Embiid being clearly far from 100%.

Then again, if he’s not healthy, the Sixers might be in for an uphill battle to even things up, even with the series heading to the City of Brotherly Love.

Thus far, this has been perhaps the closest and most exciting first-round matchup.

But the score is 2-0 in favor of Tom Thibodeau’s team, and that’s all that matters.

The Sixers will now have to do a better job of closing out games and making timely shots if they want to have a chance, regardless of the referees or whatnot.
