The Dallas Cowboys have tested their fans’ patience this offseason.
More than that, they’ve also put the players’ patience to the test.
Not making big moves was one thing, but not even managing to secure the players they already had may have been even worse.
That’s particularly true for Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.
Both of them expected to have a big contract extension on their table this offseason, and that hasn’t been the case.
And with all signs pointing at Prescott testing free agency at the end of the season, they would be wise to at least get something done with Lamb.
In the latest edition of The Carton Show, David Jacoby argued that signing Lamb was a no-brainer.

He stated that he should get a deal between what Justin Jefferson and AJ Brown got, meaning he should be looking at something close to $33 million per year with at least $84 million guaranteed.
Per Jacoby, Lamb has established himself as a top-five wide receiver in the game, so even if they wound up moving on from Dak Prescott, whoever steps in will also need someone to throw the football to.
Moreover, given the state of the market, it’s not like Lamb is going to get any cheaper.
If anything, his price tag will only go up, so not signing him to a contract extension isn’t only poor personnel management; it’s also poor business.
Lamb has been patient about it, but it wouldn’t be all that shocking to see him take a different approach with this if Jerry Jones continues to play mind games with him.
