Being the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft always comes with lofty expectations, and not many players are able to live up to that hype.

However, confidence has never been an issue for Anthony Edwards.

The young Minnesota Timberwolves star has always let it be known that he believes he’s the best player in the game, and he plays with that kind of swagger.

Edwards put the league on notice with his fantastic performance in Game 1 vs. the Phoenix Suns, talking trash to Kevin Durant, pounding his chest, and leading his team to a huge win.

That’s why NBA analyst Evan Cohen believes he might actually be invincible.

Talking on the UNSPORTSMANLIKE Radio Show, Cohen stated that Edwards’ unmatched confidence made him feel like the Timberwolves actually may have a legitimate shot to win the whole thing this season.

Perhaps that’s a bit of a reach or an overreaction, as it takes a lot to win a ring, and it’s been just one game.

Then again, Edwards does have that kind of aura.

He plays an old-school type of hard-nosed and competitive basketball, and you know he just has that do-like mentality that will make him go hard on every single possession.

Edwards has also made great strides on the defensive side of the court, which was the only flaw in his game when he entered the league four years ago.

And while his team might not be ready to win a championship, he’s one of the faces of the league already, and he’s just going to get better.
