While it is true that the New York Knicks have lost two games in a row against the Indiana Pacers, fans of the team shouldn’t lose hope.
Speaking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, Brian Scalabrine said that the Knicks still have “a really good chance” of winning this series and should be “optimistic.”
He noted that the Pacers barely won in Game 3 with a shocking three-pointer.
Even with their two victories, Scalabrine hasn’t seen much from Indiana to suggest they can win the series.

After months of being on cloud nine, Knicks fans are now fearful that the team is headed in the wrong direction.
It feels as if the Knicks are on a descent while the Pacers are ascending and that’s a very concerning trend.
But Scalabrine believes New York has the advantage in this series.
If it weren’t for Andrew Nembhard’s stunning three-pointer at the end of Game 3, the Knicks could be in a completely different position.
Of course, the Knicks totally fell apart in Game 4 on Sunday and lost by a wide margin but they still shouldn’t lose faith in themselves, according to Scalabrine.
There is some good news for the Knicks, of course.
For example, Jalen Brunson had his worst game of the series but will likely bounce back in the next one.
Other stars will also step up in Game 5.
Plus, the semifinals are now moving back to New York so the home crowd will give the Knicks proper encouragement that could lead to a win.
They shouldn’t take anything for granted and their road ahead is tough, but Scalabrine believes that the Knicks can still win this series.
