The New York Knicks’ championship odds changed drastically after last night.
Upon trading for Mikal Bridges, they went from +1600 to +1000 to win the whole thing, and they now boast the fifth-best odds in the entire Association.
Needless to say, the Boston Celtics are still the team to beat, both in the Eastern Conference and the league as a whole.
Nonetheless, with Bridges now into the mix, NBA analyst Craig Carton believes the Knicks have more than enough to beat Joe Mazzulla’s team.
Talking on The Carton Show, Carton broke down both teams and gave the Knicks the nod.
“That roster right there is good enough to beat the Boston Celtics.”

Of course, he’s a diehard Knicks fan, so his words have to be taken with a grain of salt.
Even so, on paper, the Knicks could definitely give them a run for their money.
They were expected to match up in the Eastern Conference Finals this season before a plethora of injuries stood in Tom Thibodeau’s team’s way.
They’re definitely a well-rounded and deep team, and they’re coached by one of the great defensive minds in basketball history.
Then again, the Celtics are even deeper and now have championship-caliber experience, which is something that should never be overlooked.
Everyone will aim for the Celtics’ throne, and the Knicks are a clear candidate as well.
