With the 2022-23 NBA regular season now over, the start of the NBA playoffs has arrived, with a lot of exciting matchups and storylines moving forward.
Among the most intriguing teams in the postseason are the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors, who will face the Sacramento Kings in the first round.
The Warriors have had an up-and-down season, which goes back to Draymond Green punching teammate Jordan Poole.
Despite Golden State’s dominance at home (33-8), the Warriors were an awful team on the road, as Stephen Curry and company only won 11 games away from San Francisco.
However, the team has come on strong as of late and has resembled its championship form, with some analysts believing Steve Kerr’s squad is peaking at the right time.
I’ll be the first to admit it. The Warriors scare me. https://t.co/83w3B5T3u4

Along with potentially peaking at the right time, the Warriors have the advantage of limited travel in the first round due to their matchup against the Kings, which is only a short bus ride away for the defending champs.
As if that wasn’t promising enough for this team to advance to the next round, Golden State will be going up against the most inexperienced playoff team in the league, with Sacramento playoff bound for the first time in 16 years.
The Warriors have a lot going for them ahead of their playoff matchup with the Kings, with Andrew Wiggins now back in the fold after his long time away from the team.
Anything can happen in the playoffs, but Golden State is poised for a deep run, which makes things interesting in the Western Conference.
