The Philadelphia 76ers had a very busy Monday morning, signing Paul George to a huge deal and also retaining Tyrese Maxey with his own massive payday.
Speaking on NBA TV, Greg Anthony said the 76ers are now “vastly improved” compared to just one season ago.
He said the “retooled” roster gives head coach Nick Nurse a lot more options and this is a squad that could do a lot of great things in the new season.

It seems the team will now be led by the starting five of Paul George, Tyrese Maxey, Kelly Oubre Jr., Paul Reed, and Joel Embiid.
That is definitely a tough-looking crew and they could certainly overpower a number of teams.
This is the best the 76ers have looked in a long time but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still very serious concerns about their future.
For instance, can this group stay healthy?
Recent seasons suggest that isn’t the case, especially with Embiid.
He has battled his fair share of physical mishaps, including in the latest season when he missed a ton of games and ruined the team’s chances of going far in the postseason.
Embiid was able to come back for the playoffs but he was obviously hobbled and the 76ers weren’t able to rebound because of that.
While George will add more depth and power, he also gets hurt often and has a bad track record in the postseason.
So even though the 76ers look great right now, people are still worried about what’s ahead.
They have definitely improved, but has Philadelphia improved enough?
